Patrick Black is the Founder and Managing Director of 24ADR, bringing more than 25 years of experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution, family law, mediation, and court administration across Australia and New Zealand.

With an exceptional professional background spanning senior court registry leadership, Legal Aid panel memberships, court-appointed mediation roles, and extensive experience in both civil and family law jurisdictions, Patrick has built a reputation for delivering practical, structured, and client-focused dispute resolution outcomes. His career has been dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate conflict in a more respectful, efficient, and cost-effective way.

Patrick’s vision for 24ADR was created from firsthand experience within the legal and court system. Having witnessed the emotional and financial impact of lengthy litigation, he developed 24ADR as a modern, technology-driven mediation network designed to provide faster, fixed-fee and accessible alternatives to traditional court proceedings.

Under his leadership, 24ADR combines high professional standards with innovative digital systems, allowing practitioners and clients to engage in secure, streamlined mediation processes across Australia and New Zealand. Patrick is also deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of dispute resolution professionals through the unique “Pathway to Practice” model, helping trainees gain the supervised experience required to enter the industry successfully.

LLB (Hons), GDLP, MGNB, Graduate Diploma FDRP, GCAL (Family Law), and Family Group Conference Facilitator.
